How to Make Your Own Luck - Kido The One
Share
1. Talk to strangers.
Luck will always find you in unique places where you’re willing to meet it. Entering new conversations with an open mind leads to open doors.
Remember names and specific details. Make people feel heard, understood or that they can feel what you feel.
2. Share your work publicly.
Allowing people to be a part of your journey creates emotional investment that compounds and brings with it immeasurable abundance.
“Brand” is a new-age term for reputation. Act with accordance to the reputation you desire.
3. Be curious. Do not pretend to know everything.
Pretending to be perfect creates envy and breeds silent enemies.
Admitting to and owning your imperfections leads to self-confidence that cannot be bought.
Stay curious for curiosity’s sake.
4. Gradually work to accumulate that which cannot be purchased.
A fit body, a calm mind, a happy home (ext. Naval). All of life is suffering. Privilege is your ability to choose your suffering.
Build leverage, improve your positioning and decide what is worth suffering for.
5. Give without expectation of return.
Generosity compounds and circles back. Money is energy like water.
Let it flow and it becomes a river which brings abundance. Stop the flow and life inside slowly deteriorates as it becomes a dam. Dams can break.
Keep everything flowing.
6. Everything is your fault.
Bad news is someone breaks up with you? Your fault. Lost your job? Your fault.
Conversely, good news when you hit your first 10k month? Your fault. When you can do pull-ups? Your fault.
Own your own shit. Everything is your fault.
7. Outwork your doubt.
Extreme action destroys self-doubt.
The highest level of everything requires no thought, only instinct.
Work until you don’t have to think about the work and can do it by ‘feel’. Find flow and wake up your creative intuition.
Make your own luck.
